Artist Review: David Hockney

The Road to York through Sledmere, 1997

David Hockney is an English painter, stage designer, and printmaker. He is also an important contributor to the Pop art movement of the 1960s. One of his paintings, Celia With her Foot on a Chair, reminds me of Pablo Picasso's paintings. His paintings show forms and shapes. It is easy to see his brush strokes. I cannot stop looking at his painting, Interior With Lamps. I like how it's very detailed and clean.
